The offices of Laois County Council are open from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays). The offices are closed for lunch between 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm

Motor Tax /Cash Office
Please note that the public counter of both Motor Tax & Cash Office is open from 9.30am – 1pm, Monday to Friday (excl. bank holidays).
- Please ensure all forms are fully completed before entering the public area.
Motor Tax: Customers are encouraged to renew their standard tax online at www.motortax.ie (forms available also). Other options are to leave your application in drop box at the main reception of Laois County Council or using the postal service. For Motor Tax queries please call 05786 64009.
Cash Office: A variety of payments can be made online at www.laois.ie or over the phone by calling 05786 74308, Monday to Friday 9.30am – 3.30pm. Please leave a message (name, number & brief message) if phone busy.
