The BSU is committed to working with entrepreneurs to help establish their businesses and create jobs in County Laois. Simply put, we are here to help.  As part of this, there are a significant number of commercial, retail and industrial sites available, both greenfield and developed, where the BSU can support enterprise.

National Enterprise Park:

Covering 300 hectares, the National Enterprise Park is used for logistics, industrial, commercial, retail warehousing and office purposes. The park is located on the southern end of Portlaoise bounded by the Togher Interchange and motorway to the south the Mountrath Road to the west and the Abbeyleix Road to the east.

Current occupants include: Martek Ltd,  UCC Coffee Ltd, Premier Broadband Ltd  and Powerpoint Engineering Ltd.

Clonminam Business Park:

Located just a few minutes off the M7 Dublin-Cork-Limerick Junction point of the motorway, so you don’t have to drive through busy traffic in Portlaoise; this business park is also conveniently situated on the Portlaoise Orbital route bypassing the town for Tullamore and the western motorway corridor.

These sites are fully serviced with wastewater, water, electricity, gas and broadband.

Current occupants include: Testconsult (Ireland) Plc, Atlas Copco (Ireland) and Cynar Plc.

IDA Portlaoise Business & Technology Park:

An 18 hectare (46 acre) park adjacent to the N7 National Primary Route connecting Limerick and Cork with Dublin.

The park has been fully landscaped and has a services infrastructure to suit the needs of both manufacturing and international services clients. The park is within walking distance of Portlaoise town.

There are greenfield sites available for future development and an advance office fitted out with raised floors and suspended ceilings is available for immediate occupation.

Current occupants include: Aubren Ltd and Internal Results Ltd.

Lismard Business Park:

Lismard Business Park, situated adjacent to the Lismard Retail Park, on the Portlaoise Orbital route, is very close to the Portlaoise town centre. It also benefits from being a short drive from the M7 motorway junction and a variety of arterial routes and connections nationwide. Due to the zoning of this park, this commercial/business units are ideally suited for a variety of uses including retail/wholesale warehousing & distribution or change of use to call centre facilities or leisure facilities such as indoor climbing centre.

Current occupants include: ALS Life Sciences,  EEW Ltd and ACE Machinery Ltd.

Kealew Business Park:

Kea Lew Business Park is south west of Portlaoise Main Street, less then five minutes drive from the M7,  and within walking distance of Portlaoise train station.

Current occupants include: C&C Gleeson Group Ltd, Europa Battery Ltd and Hofmeister Tiles Ltd.

Ballymacken Industrial Estate (Portlaoise):

Conveniently located near the M7 and Portlaoise town centre. There is available land at Ballymacken Industrial Estate and the Council is open to discussions about how best the land could be used.

Current occupants include Agnail Ltd, Glanbia, and LSM Engineering Ltd.
