Coming from Kilkenny/Abbeyleix/Cork
Follow the signs for Portlaoise. As you approach Portlaoise you will come to the intersection of the N8 with the M7. At the Roundabout for the M7 take the 3rd exit at which Portlaoise will be signposted. Proceed towards Portlaoise. Go straight through the 1st roundabout that you come to. Stay in the right lane as you approach the next roundabout.
Take the 2nd exit and follow the signs marked Carlow. You are now on James Fintan Lawlor Avenue. Áras an Chontae is on your right hand side at this stage.
Proceed to the next roundabout where you will be able to come back around on the opposite side of James Fintan Lawlor Avenue. Immediately after Supermacs which is on your left make a left turn. The Áras an Chontae Campus is on the right hand side at this stage.
Coming from Limerick/Nenagh/Roscrea/Mountrath
As you approach Portlaoise you will join the M7 Motorway. Ignore the 1st exit marked Portlaoise and stay on the Motorway. Take the next exit which is marked Exit 17. The directional sign will be marked N8. This will direct you towards Cork/Carlow/Tullamore/Portlaoise. At the top of the ramp you will enter a roundabout. Ignore the 1st exit marked Rugby Club and take the 2nd exit at which Portlaoise will be signposted. Proceed towards Portlaoise.
Go straight through the 1st roundabout that you come to. Stay in the right lane as you approach the next roundabout. Take the 2nd exit and follow the signs marked Carlow. You are now on James Fintan Lawlor Avenue. Áras an Chontae is on your right hand side at this stage. Proceed to the next roundabout where you will be able to come back around on the opposite side of James Fintan Lawlor Avenue. Immediately after Supermacs which is on your left make a left turn

Coming from Dublin/Naas/Newbridge/Kildare
As you travel towards Portlaoise you will be on the M7 Motorway. Stay on the M7 and ignore Exit No. 16 marked Portlaoise and Carlow. Continue on the M7 to Exit 17 marked Cork and Abbeyleix. At the top of the ramp you will enter a roundabout. Continue around the roundabout and take the 4th exit at which Portlaoise will be signposted. Proceed towards Portlaoise.
Go straight through the 1st roundabout that you come to. Stay in the right lane as you approach the next roundabout. Take the 2nd exit and follow the signs marked Carlow. You are now on James Fintan Lawlor Avenue. Áras an Chontae is on your right hand side at this stage. Proceed to the next roundabout where you will be able to come back around on the opposite side of James Fintan Lawlor Avenue. Immediately after Supermacs which is on your left make a left turn

Coming from Athlone/Mullingar/Tullamore/Mountmellick
Follow the N80 into Portlaoise. Go underneath the Railway Bridge. At the 1st roundabout you come to go straight through following the directional signs marked N7 N80. Stay to the left at 2nd roundabout following the directional sign marked N80 Carlow. You are now on James Fintan Lawlor Avenue. Áras an Chontae is on your right hand side at this stage.
Proceed to the next roundabout where you will be able to come back around on the opposite side of James Fintan Lawlor Avenue. Immediately after Supermacs which is on your left make a left turn. The Áras an Chontae Campus is on the right hand side at this stage.
Coming from Waterford/Carlow/Stradbally
As you approach Portlaoise you will be travelling along the N80. At the 1st roundabout continue straight through following the directional signs for N80/Portlaoise. Travel on towards Town Centre for approximately a mile. As you pass the red brick church which is on your right stay to the left.
At the first roundabout take a left following the directional sign for Tullamore.
At the next roundabout go straight following the directional signs for the M7. At the next roundabout go straight. Immediately after Supermacs which is on your left make a left turn. The Áras an Chontae Campus is on the right hand side at this stage.
