N80 between Portlaoise & Stradbally, Co Laois
In accordance with the provisions of Section 75 of the above Act and Article 12 of the Roads Regulations, 1994, Laois County Council having given the required notice has now decided to close the N80 from the R427 Junction in Stradbally to R425 at Bloomfield Roundabout from 07.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. daily for a period of four days from Wednesday, 9th November 2011 to Saturday, 12th November 2011 (both dates inclusive). This closure is necessary to accommodate junction improvement works to the N80 - L7830 junction at Dunamaise. The following alternative routes are available.
From Stradbally (Carlow)
Divert to the R427 in Stradbally then to the R426 at Money Crossroads joining the R425 at Rathleague and rejoining the N80 at the Bloomfield Roundabout.
From Portlaoise (Dublin)
Divert to the R425 at Bloomfield Roundabout, proceeding onto the R426 to Money Crossroads then onto the R427 rejoining the N80 at Stradbally.
N80 - Dunamaise Junction Improvement between Portlaoise & Stradbally, Co Laois
Local Access will be maintained.
Appropriate signage will be in place to divert traffic along the alternative route.
