Conservation Grant Scheme
The Conservation of a Protected Structure
Laois County Council accepts applications each year for the Conservation Grant Scheme. The scheme is promoted by the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government and administered by Laois County Council. The objective of the scheme is to assist the owner or occupier of a structure, which is protected because of its architectural, historical, archaeological, artistic, cultural, scientific, social or technical interest, to undertake conservation works on such a structure. Under the scheme, a wide variety of conservation works qualify for grants, generally amounting to 50% of the cost of works up to a maximum of €13,000. Works consisting of routine maintenance or improvements do not qualify.
Laois County Council is accepting applications for the 2010 Conservation Grant Scheme up until 5.00 pm Monday 1st March 2010. Download application form Conservation Grant Form 2010
