Welcome to the Sport and Leisure Section.
We play a major role in the provision and management of Sports Facilities in the County. The purpose of our Sport & Leisure Section is to plan, promote and develop a sports programme for all people of county Laois. We accommodate many different tasks such as:

The 2012 Sports Capital Grants Scheme will be advertised by the Department of Transport, Tourism & Sport in the coming weeks with a closing date for receipt of completed applications in March/April , 2012
Laois County Council’s Sport & Leisure Office would be delighted to assist you with the application process and are available to answer queries relating to the scheme.
Members of your organization are invited to attend an Information Session in relation to the grant scheme which will be held on
Friday, 20th January 2012
Portlaoise Parish Centre, Dublin Road, Portlaoise
at 8pm.
Application and guideline forms will be available on line from the Departments website http://www.dttas.ie or maybe obtained from our office once the scheme has been announced in January 2012.
