Discovering Laois Wildlife

Workshops & Practical Sessions

The Discovering Laois Wildlife series of talks, seminars and workshops ran from May to October, and aimed to help everyone find out more about the wildlife and environment of their own local area. The workshops were attended by parents, teachers, community groups and anyone with a curiosity about the natural world and enthusiasm to learn more about it.

Workshops were held on habitats, birds, map-reading, trees, flowers, bats and bogs and all were a great success. Many thanks to all those who led workshops through the year and to those who attended. If you have any comments on the series, please feel free to contact the Heritage Office.
