Laois Federation of Tidy Towns.
Laois Federation of Tidy Towns was established in 1998 and at present has 31 groups registered. These groups have been conserving and enhancing the local environment in their community and are an invaluable resource.
Tidy Towns is a popular and highly sought after form of recognition which encourages the people of Laois to embrace the spirit of co-operation to carry out community based environmental initiatives.
The Programme began with local communities focusing on litter and improving civic pride, but now encompasses a much wider programme of environmental initiatives that seek to ensure that our own towns and villages become more sustainable and improve their environmental, economic and social performance.

How to become a Volunteer
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer in your local community you should contact a member or check the local newspapers / newsletter to find out what is happening in your area. If you do not have contact details for your local group please contact Siobhan Donoher who will assist you in this regard.
Working together for a brighter future
