Welcome to Planning

This section is divided into three main areas:

Planning for the General Public:
This area sets out the main issues to be considered when applying for planning and a practical guide to carrying out work to private dwellings and protected structures. This area also provides information on the procedure for informing us on alleged unauthorised development.

Planning for Business:
This area deals with planning process relevant to developers and those working within the building sector. It also provides information on agricultural development, registration of quarries and details of licenses.

Development Plans:
This area deals with information on our policies for the furture development and zoning of our County, towns and villages.

The vision of the our Planning Department is to facilitate and promote the highest quality planning whilst ensuring a balance between development and the environment.
