CHARGES FOR FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUESTS

Personal Information Requests:
If your request is for a record containing personal information, there is no application fee applicable.

Non-Personal Information Requests:
If your request is for a record containing non-personal information,an application fee of €15 applies (€10 if you are a medical card holder).

Photocopying:
A charge of 4 cent per sheet will be applied where it is required to produce 35 sheets or more when responding to a request.

WAIVER OF FEES
Fees may be waived in the following circumstances:

• where the cost of collecting and accounting for the fee would exceed the amount payable,
• where the information would be of particular assistance to the understanding of an issue of national importance,
• in the case of personal information, where such charges would not be reasonable, having regard to the means of the requester.
