Sustainability within Laois County Council

To date, Laois County Council has implemented a cross sectional internal Action Plan which has helped us to become more sustainable in our daily activities.  Although national and local government are expected to take the lead in ensuring the stability of our common future, we recognise that everyone has a part to play.   

To complement our ongoing work, public consultation also took place on a draft Countywide Action Plan which also focused on the importance of promoting and including sustainability practices throughout the County.  As a result of this work and the feedback provided during the public consultation, Laois County Council is proud to annouce the adopted County Action Plan is now available to download here: LA21 County Action Plan (Adopted)

It is hoped this County Plan will assist not only Laois County Council but also other organisations in promoting sustainability practices on an ongoing basis.
