Reporting a Problem
From time to time you may wish to report a problem to Laois County Council. Reporting problems and dealing with the reports that are received can present difficulties for both you and the Council.
Hopefully the following information will aid you in reporting any problem that you may encounter. When you report a problem it should enable the Council to better meet your needs and to respond in a timely and effective manner in dealing with the problem that you have reported.
To report a problem online please use the Report a problem form
To report a problem by telephone please dial the direct number if you know it or contact the Council’s Receptionists at:
057 86 64000
In general the Council’s opening hours are restricted to normal office hours. For this reason it is possible if you are contacting the Council by telephone that you may not get to speak directly with an employee of the Council. This may occur during normal office hours also particularly at times when the number of telephone calls being received is high.
A Voice Mail System is in operation in order to afford you the opportunity to leave a message that can be responded to at a later time. If you choose to leave a message please ensure that you include a contact number or address if you wish to be contacted in relation to the problem that you have reported.
To report a problem by post please address your letter to the specific department or office if you know the correct address or send your letter to:

Áras an Chontae,
Portlaoise,
Co. Laois,
