Non Principal Private Residence

The NPPR Charge is an annual charge of €200 introduced by the Local Government (Charges) Act 2009 in respect of all residential property not used as the owner’s sole or main residence.

The Charge is payable  by the owners of the property to the “NPPR” on behalf of the local authority in whose area the property concerned is located. Collection of the Non Principal Private Residence Charge for 2011 commenced on the 31st March 2011. The 2011 charge is based upon the ownership and status of the property on the 31st March 2011. Go to http://www.nppr.ie to register and pay. This will allow for easy and confidential access to view your account or change your Account Details or Add a NPPR to your account as required.
