Housing Loans

For information on housing loans and how to apply, please refer to the Housing Section portion of this website.

Housing Loan Information Available on request from Finance Section.

a) Statement of Account

b) Certificate of Interest

c) Redemption figures i.e. the amount required to clear the loan account in full.

d) Deed of Discharge – This is submitted by your solicitor on your request to delete the loan charge from the folio of your property.

e) Title Documents – When the loan is cleared, your solicitor may request these.

f) Other information as may be required from time to time.

Housing Loan Credit Control

All loan accounts are monitored on a continuous basis to ensure that loan repayments are kept up to date. This avoids the possibility of customers getting into financial difficulty with their loan repayments.

How to pay your Housing Loan

1. At the Cash Office, Laois County Council, Áras an Chontae, Portlaoise, Co. Laois from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. (open through lunch-time)
2. By post - cheque/postal order/money order.
3. Over the phone, by giving your account number and credit card/laser card details to Cash Office on (057) 8674308.
4. To the Revenue Collector for your Area:
Barry Murphy – Portarlington, Ratdowney, Borris-In-Ossory, Castletown.
Teresa Corcoran – Mountmellick, Mountrath, Camross, Clonaslee, Rosenallis, Part of Portlaoise.
Jim Blanchfield – Part of Portlaoise Town , Stradbally, Durrow, Abbeyleix, Ballinakill.
Des Howe – Part of Portlaoise, Ballylinan, Graiguecullen, Ballickmoyler, Wolfhill, Killeshin
5. By phone/internet banking. (Check with your relevant bank)
6. On-line - details available on request.

7. Through An Post - Household Buget Form (to have payments deducted from social welfare payment)

IN ALL CASES YOU MUST INDICATE YOUR CUSTOMER NUMBER WHEN MAKING A PAYMENT.
