Educational Partnership

Student Council Training organized through Youthreach took place on February 3rd, at the Further Education Centre, Mountmellick with over 50 students from around the County Participating.

Clonaslee Vocational School, Transition Year Students participated in a Local History Trip of the County on Friday February 24th.

Scoil Chríost Rí Students held a series of debates in the Council Chamber on April 4th, this incorporated a brief talk on the history and workings of Laois County Council

Students from the O’ More College of Design, Franklin Tennessee  visited Aras an Chontae on Thursday 15th June 2006  as part of their visit to County Laois  to experience in the heritage of the O’ More family and Irish Culture.

Students of 5th & 6th Class National School, Pike of Rushall visited Aras an Chontae on Monday 29th May 2006 and attended the May Monthly Council Meeting and had a guided tour of the building.
