Site Structure and Navigation
We have structured our site to make it as easy as possible for you to navigate through. Below is an outline of our navigation tools:

Main Navigation:
Our main navigation divides the home page into eight main sections. These links are Planning, Housing, Roads, Environment & Water, Leisure & Culture, Community & Living, Your Council and Business. The services provided by all 17 departments (Arts, Corporate Affairs, Community & Enterprise, County Development Board, Economic Development, Environment, Finance, Heritage, Housing, Human Resources, Information Technology, Library, Motor Tax, Planning, Roads, Tourism and Water Services) in the council are divided into these main areas. It was felt that the user would find it easy to navigate the site using these headings rather than having to know what department provided what services. For example the Roads section on the website has information on Motor Tax, even though internally the Motor Tax service is provided by the Finance Section.
For those that are familiar with the Local Government or wish to find out information about a particular department you can do so by selecting Your Council (from the main navigation on the home page) and Departments. This provides a break down of each section in the Council and the services they provide.
Do It Online
The secondary navigation on the site is our “Do it Online” section. This is useful for those that are coming to the site to perform a particular online task such as paying for a bill or downloading an application form.
