Map IT!

Map IT! is Laois County Councils latest maping system in which we map the location of key facilities throughtout the county using Microsoft Virtual Earth technology.

On the left-hand side of the page all the services are listed:
Council Offices
Landfill
Bring Banks
Childcare
Fire Stations
Garda Stations
Tourist Attractions
Post Office
Libraries
Primary Schools
Secondary Schools
Golf Clubs
Health Services

When one of these services are seleted their location will be visable from the map.

Moving the bar in this box up and down allows the user to zoom in and out from a particualar area of the map. Maps can be viewed in three different formats. By default the map will be displayed with the Road layout. This shows all roads, towns and placenames. By selecting Aerial you will see aerial photograpy of the area. Hybrid maps combines both the Aerial and Road maps.
