It is intended to close each of these roads for a period of 1 to 3 days during the period from Monday 26th April to Saturday 30th October, 2010.

Electric Picnic 2010
In accordance with the provisions of Section 75 of the above Act and Article 12 of the Roads Regulations, 1994, Laois County Council hereby serves notice that it is proposed to close the R427 from Money Cross to Stradbally from 08.00 a.m. on Friday 3rd September to 4.00 a.m. on Monday 6th September, 2010. This closure is necessary to accommodate the Electric Picnic Concert at Stradbally Hall.
Alternative routes are available.
Local Access will be maintained at all times.
Appropriate signage will be in place to divert traffic along the alternative route.

N80 - Arles to Ballickmoyler
In accordance with the provisions of Section 75 of the above Act and Article 12 of the Roads Regulations, 1994, Laois County Council hereby serves notice that it is proposed to close the N80 National Secondary Road between Arles and Ballickmoyler from Monday, 13th September, 2010 to Friday, 22nd October, 2010. This closure is necessary to facilitate pavement improvement works.
The following alternative routes are available:
Traffic travelling southbound on the N80 (from Stradbally)
Proceed along the N80 to its junction with the N78 at Simmons Cross. Turn right onto N78 and proceed to Newtown. Turn left onto R430 and proceed to its junction with the R431 at Molloys Cross. Turn left and proceed through Killeshin to the Roundabout at the Carlow Northern Relief Road. Turn left onto the Carlow Northern Relief Road and rejoin the N80 at the Portlaoise Road Roundabout.
Traffic travelling northbound on the N80 (from Carlow)
At the Portlaoise Road Roundabout on the Carlow Northern Relief Road, proceed along the Carlow Northern Relief Road to the Castlecomer Road Roundabout. Take the second exit onto the R430 and proceed through Killeshin. At Molloys Cross, turn right and proceed along the R430 to Newtown. Turn right onto the N78 at proceed to the junction with the N80. Turn left onto the N80.
Local Access will be maintained.

Diversion for N80 Overlay Arles - Ballickmoyler
Any person wishing to object to the proposed road closure should do so in writing to the Administrative Officer, Roads Section, Laois County Council, Áras an Chontae, James Fintan Lalor Avenue, Portlaoise, not later than 4pm on Thursday, 2nd September, 2010.
