Sport Capital Grants

The Sports Capital Grant Scheme is aimed at sports clubs, voluntary and community organisations to secure funding for  projects of a capital nature and must be directly related to the provison of sporting and physical recreational facilties.  A total of 27 clubs and organisations in County Laois applied for funding under the Sports Capital Grants Scheme 2008.  Eighteen clubs were successful in securing fundingwith a total of €799,000 being allotted to County Laois. 

The project must involve "improving or building an asset" or "buying non-personal sports equipment that will be used for at least five years".
