Portlaoise Chess Club

As part of Laois County Council's development programme, a new and exicting club is starting in Portlaoise. The idea for the chess club is to present chess to students in a fun, exhilarating and entertaining way.

Portlaoise Chess club is open to boys and girls in 4th, 5th, 6th class & first and second year. Instructors are on hand to teach children the fundamentals of chess in a fun and entertaining way. The chess club is suitable for all abilities where children will learn the basics of chess to more advanced skills.

The chess club will be starting again in October so keep checking for updates.
