Joan Phelan Retires From Mountrath Library

Joan Phelan retired in December 2011 from Laois libraries after working for 37 years in the service. She spent all of this time in Mountrath, firstly in the old library, and then since 2007 in Mountrath's new library on Shannon Street. Joan worked selflessly for the library service and is held in the highest esteem by her work colleagues and the general public alike.
