The next exhibition in The Gallery at Mountmellick Library is by local Photographer Aisling Weir. "Be Your Own Art" is a collection of landscape, portrait and still life photographs. The exhibition will run from the 1st until 31st May. For more information on Aisling's work follow the link below.

Call for Submissions
Calling all artists working in any and all materials, media, styles, genres, themes and concepts to submit proposals for exhibitions for The Gallery at the newly opened library in Mountmellick.
The Gallery aims to provide exhibition space to local, national and international artists. Submissions are welcome from new and emerging artists as well as established artists.
The Gallery is part of the innovative new library which was opened recently by Laois County Council. Housed in a public building, the Gallery offers an exciting opportunity for artists to bring their work to a new audience.
Offering three interlinked but separate spaces, the Gallery encompases almost 80m2 of exhibition space.

Information For Artists
The gallery is housed on the first floor of the new Mountmellick Library building. The 80m2 space gets lots of natural light which gives the whole gallery a spacious airy feeling. The main room has curved glass walls and there are two additional smaller rooms.
Any artist wishing to exhibit can submit an application form along with samples of their work. For more details about exhibiting in the gallery download the guidelines for artists form.
