Cupcake Decorating In The Library

Mountmellick Library organises and hosts a large number of events that are of interest to our members. In our opening year we held 157 events. These included author visits, art exhibitions, musical events and arts and crafts as well as our regular bookclubs and games club. Throughout the year we have regular story telling and we make a great effort to provide seasonal activities with plenty of Christmas, Easter and Halloween events. We also mark important times in our Library calendar such as 'The Childrens Book Festival', 'Seachtain na nGaeilge' and 'Bealtaine' to name a few. Keep up to date with the library and don't miss anything of interest to you by regularly checking our upcoming events page.

Mountmellick Library building includes a bright spacious gallery. We host a different exhibition each month, showcasing the work of local, national and international artists throughout the year. We welcome applications to exhibit from both professional and amateur artists and we try to provide our library users with a diverse range of artistic styles and media for their viewing.
