Heritage Week 2009 in Laois

Heritage Week, starting on Saturday 22nd of August, will be celebrated in style in Laois this year, with events ranging from history talks and bog walks to musical celebrations and photo exhibtions.

Most events are free and most are aimed at families, so this is a great opportunity to get out there and explore the heritage of your local area. Whether you were born and bred in Laois or have just moved here lately, there is always something to learn about the built, natural and cultural heritage of the area in which you live!
