Public Art Commission call for interest – Per Cent For Art Scheme

Emo National School, Emo, Portlaoise, Co.LaoisFund: €16,000Emo National School under the Department of Education & Science Per Cent for Art Scheme wish to commission a permanent visual artwork for their new school building.  The total fund awarded is €16,000 to include all fees, costs, transport and installation.  This commission will be awarded by a two-stage selection process.  At this first stage, the school invites expressions of interest from professional artists working in all aspects of contemporary visual art practice for this site/location specific artwork.    At the second stage, artists will be shortlisted and invited to submit a detailed concept proposal for the final piece.  The project is to be fully completed and the final piece/artwork installed by March 2011.  Deadline for expressions of interest is 12 noon, Monday, 26th April 2010.Application forms and brief is available by email from: The Secretary, Emo National School, Emo, Portlaoise, Co.
