The South East Arts Network Initiative bringing arts and cultural activities to new communities

With the support of the Arts Office The South East Arts Network Initiative was launched in February 2006 with the aim to bring quality arts and cultural events to the following communities

Timahoe, Ballylinan, Wolfhill, Newtown, Arles, Ballickmoyler, Killeshin, Graiguecullen, The Swan, Clogh, Rossmore, Crettyard, Killeen, Luggacurren, Maganey.

Eight communities have now hosted training meetings and six very successful arts and cultural events.  A core arts network committee has been set up and they are currrently outlining a winter programme including children's and adults events in the hope of raising awareness to enable them to recruit new members and to continue to develop a sustainable structure for the future.

Funded by Laois LEADER Rural Development Company and with the support from the Arts Office of Laois County Council.
