Unauthorised Textile Collections

Did you ever stop to consider the flyers that come through your letter box advertising clothes collections?

Sometimes, these textile collections are by unauthorised collectors for bogus charities.  Contact Laois County Council's Environment Office to find out if the collector in your area has a valid waste collection permit.

Alternatively, why not donate textiles to a local Charity Shop who can accept items for reuse.  They may also be able to accept some bric-a-brac.  This way, you can be sure the items that you donate are going to a worthy cause.
