Refuse Disposal

The refuse collection service was privatised in County Laois from the 1st May 1998.

There are a number of private contractors in Co Laois.  These contractors are required to operate under certain conditions as per their waste collection permits. Individuals and householders make their own arrangements, financially and otherwise, with the contractors.
