Community Project Fund
This scheme provides grant aid to the community in County Laois through applications recommended by a member of the Council.
Each councillor receives a grant of €1,000
Criteria and Eligibility:
- Application must be nominated and submitted by a Local Authority Councillor.
- Groups/committees must be registered with the County Community Forum.
- A quotation for goods/services must be submitted.
- A committee/group must be formally constituted i.e. hold an AGM or regular meetings. A copy of a set of minutes must be submitted with the application form.
- Works must comply with all Local Authority Legislation.
Please Note: If a group has qualified under other Schemes i.e. Community Grant Scheme, Tidy Towns Grants they will not be ineligible to apply.
General Conditions
- All works carried out must comply with Planning Legislation and all Local Authority requirements. Applicants should liaise with relevant Local Authority Sections and it is recommended that all bodies, groups, committees and organisations arrange adequate and suitable insurance cover and provide for maintenance and upkeep after the works are completed subject to the satisfaction of Laois County Council.
Note:
Closing date for receipt of applications is Friday the 30th March 2012.
The final date for submission of the completion report, receipts and photographs is Friday the 28th September 2012. It should be noted that failure to submit the above details will result in future applications being refused.
