HEG Student Grant Scheme 2011

 Laois County Council grant aids eligible students who undertake full time degree courses in approved third level institutions in the state and certain third level institutions in other E.U. Member States.    Laois County Council deal only with applications for:-

  • full time degree (Undergraduate) Courses
  • level 8 full time (Postgraduate) Courses
  • Certificate for Social Studies in St. Patrick's College, Carlow.

Please note that Certificate and Diploma Courses are dealt with by Laois VEC, Ridge Road, Portlaoise, Co. Laois telephone number 057 8621352

Part-Time and Correspondence Courses are not covered under the Higher Education Grants Scheme.

A candidate shall be at least 17 years of age on 1st January, 2012.   The closing date for receipt of completed applications is 31st August, 2011.

How to apply

Application Forms are now available for downloading from studentfinance.ie and from this website.

If you, your parent(s), legal guardian, spouse or partner, as applicable received income from gifts or inheritances in 2010, you must complete a Gifts and Inheritance Scheme.

CLOSING  DATE

The Closing Date for receipt of completed applications is 31st August, 2011.

If you are renewing your grant application for 2011/2012 Academic Year you are required to submit an application form in respect of same.    Forms are available for download below.
