Retail Development

In the past year there has been a large volume of retail development throughout the County. We promote such balanced development as it improves our economic sustainability through the creation of jobs and investment in the County.

These developments include:

• Lisamard Retail Park - Homebase, Petmania, Heatons, Halfords Mothercare, Cost Plus Sofas & Harry Corry.
• Dunnes Stores opened the Kyle Centre - Argos, Elverys Sports, McDonalds,& TK Maxx,
• Aldi.   
• Dunnes Stores Rathdowney and Brand Central Outlet Rathdowney.
• The Killeshin Hotel reopened recently in Portlaoise.
• Laois Shopping Centre extension due for completion in Summer 2012.
