Enterprise Centres

The development of Enterprise Centres throughout the County are an excellent example of partnership between voluntary, private and statutory agencies led by Laois County Council.

We recognise our role in giving leadership, harnessing resources and working with the local community to fulfil these projects.

Enterprise Centres provide incubator units for start up businesses. To date Portarlington Enterprise Centre is fully occupied and looking at possible expansion after only a year.

Portlaoise Enterprise Centre building is near completion and will be officially opened in 2008. The Council is also committed to progressing the development of Enterprise Centres  at other locations around the County.

Mr. John Doris currently holds the position of Enterprise Centre Manager for Portlaoise and Portarlington Enterprise Centre.
